What is PUSH?
Push notifications are used by applications to alert you of new information, even when the application isn’t running. Notifications differ depending upon the application, but applications can offer up to three types of push notifications:

• Sounds : Plays an audible alert
• Alerts : Displays an alert on the screen
• Badges : Displays an image/number on the application icon on the Home Screen

If you have activated your iPhone (Original, 3G, 3GS) without an authorized SIM card (i.e. Hacktivated) and are running OS 3.x (3.0 or above), then your push functionality is probably NOT WORKING!!
